Karcius is an instrumental band that blends progressive rock music and fusion jazz. Created in 2001, the group is comprised of bassist Dominique Blouin, guitarist Simon L'Esperance, drummer Thomas Brodeur, and keyboard player Mingan Sauriol. They all received a college and university musical training, and each member evolves on the local musical scene as part of various groups and events. Through their many projects, these musicians acquire great experience and maturity. Thanks to this musical and professional diversity they are able to accomplish a unique artistic creation with Karcius. For these young and talented musicians, Karcius offers an infinite world of creation.

Since 2006
Karcius is part of the great family of Unicorn Digital, a record company that promotes them around the world. With an international distribution system, Unicorn Digital provides all the necessary tools for artists to break into new markets. Ever since they started this collaboration, Karcius gained global popularity on the progressive music scene. Their performances in some of the most important progressive music festivals in North America and in Europe did not go unnoticed and created a growing interest. The dynamic personality of the band on stage is incomparable and leaves no one untouched. The great strength of this band is their sense of unity and cohesion, which makes a powerful and determined team.

For the future
the band aims at increasing their presence internationally and reaching a larger audience. The band’s third album, Épisodes, contains a myriad of styles that bring out a unique and surprising personality to their music. Karcius will never stop evolving. These musicians constantly seek perfection and professionalism.
